Returnig to a life after spiritual numbness: Learning the obvious

Somtimes in your everyday spiritual journey you come to a place of numbness (a.k.a. doubt and self-awarness). Decribed by me and a guy I met the day befor yesterday as "not on the mountain top and not quite in the valley". To the world a spirit of Self- awarness is a good thing but it is not your not focusing on God (hence the doubt). What happens is you don't feel that Ah-ha spark but still hunger grows stronger, you wonder are you dead and compare your self with everyone, and wonder what is your purpose. You arive at the answer "to Glorify God" ether the long way or the short way, wich is good because thats true. However, that leads you to questions like how do you realy do that in work, when do you start the work that gives him that, why havent I started that. Thats the self-awarness kicking in then you build a tower of bable by trying to bring your self closer to God by works. The mistake made by the children of Noha and us is we forgot God is the one that lifts us up and not ourselves by works. Ephesians 2:8 -9 talkes about being saved by grace and not works. And hear comes The spiritual Ah-ha moment God hates works as a means to gain him He is the one that draws us near to him and he is in our hart closer then we can imagine. He didn't save us to do work or to glorify him, but because he loves us! Glorifing him and working for him is our Responce. My Sunday School Teacher Mr. Tom York seperated the word responceable to responce -able. That makes our burdan light in it self Changes the question from what is my purpuse to what is my responce. And that is "Holy" "glory" "worthy" lastly "thankyou". The work to be done God goes! He who began a good work in you will be faithfull to complite it in you. Philippians 1:6
